There's a pretty decent range of rear bars for under 1000$ or even around the 750$ mark.

Go on you know you want to. Tax return?
Can you steer us towards a couple of makes of these?

As for the pic well I guess the guy in the cruiser was on the **** too!

Given the centre of gravity should still be well under half way. Even at this angle I recon your a long way from tipping point.

Have a go next time. Unfortunatly I live in Darwin at the moment. I'll be able to post up a dirty Disco in plenty of mud come wet season but most of the ground around here is flat. The guys up here dont really know what hills are.

    Happy Days.

One that I've been eyeing off but is on the expensive side is the Terrafirma TF090 $985 at British Off Road. This can be found elsewhere up to 1200$ so I think their price is pretty much the cheapest. I'm more than happy to be corrected though.

The other is an ebay auction that I think is the same seller as one of the Vendors on here. Link.

    And Hendrik's bars here.

And there's one on this page too (LRA).

I think $660 is not too bad actually.

And to keep the thread on topic I have a photo of my D2's new snorkel Uni filter cover....I must take a photo or two of my car one of these days that's worthy of publishing here...a photo of a snorkel is a bit lame I must admit.

    Our 2 cents worth.

Went up the Pyrenees at 8500 feet the throttle response was to say a little slow is an understatement push throttle down 2 - 3 seconds later the engine picks up power! Was very strange but the views are worth it.

Am going to list a couple of points I found on this trip.

Great action pics. You do realise if you keep this up that it won't be long before you sustain some collateral damage to the front and rear extremities of that shiny D2a!

The front bumper hangs to low and is susceptible but the rear will definitely cop a hiding in time - would surprise me if you did not get the odd scrape on this excursion. Make off-roading a regular activity and you will most likely rip it off in time.

This is not meant to put you off, this is what they were designed to do and they should be used to their potential. Rather, this is a heads up of what is likely to get damaged.

Oh, and a suspension lift would not go astray in the rough stuff either. Add decent off road rubber and you will have an extremely capable 4wd.

    Enjoy.......
