I couldn't tell from the photos but have you got sliders going onto the vehicle? It looks like you've removed the plastic trim from under the doors?

I'll add a photo of mine in a separate post; they look pretty similar with my black painted wheels.
I was going to just do the centre but glad I did the whole thing, a little bit different. And yes I am putting some sliders. Just waiting for my brother to take them off his d2. While they are off I painted the sill in a satin black , looks much neater.

No, not quite a carbon copy of Spence's D2 but close.

    This is my MY99 Td5.

It's mostly stock aside from having the ECU chipped. The original was the non-flashable type so MR Automotive in Brisbane swapped it for one that they supply.

I've added an EMS2 to keep an eye on the EGT's and also for its low coolant alarm functions. The Nanocom takes care of everything else.

My wheels were a bargain off ebay. $200 for the set of 5, including the black LR centre covers and a set of wheel nuts. The bloke I bought them from had done them with VHT brand wheel paint. They needed a bit of touching up but a couple of cans later they look ok again. Maybe after the tax man has returned some of what he borrowed I'll put a set of muddies onto these or the other original rims.

I'm not one for adding bling for the sake of it usually, preferring functional add-ons over stuff that is purely for looks...but I really wanted black wheels.

If I keep in the good books I will probably add a set of sliders later this year too.

The reality is though that I probably should spend the money on getting the rust cut out from across the top of the windscreen, having a transmission specialist look at the auto to see why it's got a rough shift from 2nd to 3rd every now and then and doing a full replacement of all the bushes underneath.

The list of preventive maintenance is ever growing on a vehicle of this age.

That's a cool picture bell. And I know what you mean about maintenance, I've just spent a fortune on mine.

This picture is for the bloke who was asking about my subby setup, sorry I can't remember your name but if you're still around here it is. Made out of Fiberglas. Strong enough to jump on.

Whoa! That sub must put some stress on the window seals!

Not to mention your eardrums...(says the man who is pretty deaf and knows how to look after his ears.)

You've got me tempted to go and rip my arches and rub strips off! Also, have your arches been trimmed at all?

G'day, I know it's been awhile since you posted your pick but what rock sliders are they? They look awesome.
