    Thanks for the kind words Colin. Not wanting to turn this thread in to a Blackbox/Hard Range mutual appreciation society but I must thank you and Victoria for working out some very good pricing on the units and shipping, and your prompt response to my enquiries on behalf of the group buy.

    Looking forward to recieving these units, getting them out to the members and having a play myself... now to find a Defender and Disco II TD5 to play on

    Mate, my "value add" customer service attitude only goes so far... unless your name is Angelina Jolie, Elle McPherson or Liz Hurley

    Hoping to have them in my hands by end of Feb (Nanocoms that is), assuming no delays through Customs, and they will be shipped out within a day or two.

    Everything we ship must first pass a very explicit and fully documented test procedure, performed by the same person who will ultimately be providing first line support for it, in the event anyone should ever need it

    For those who are anxiously waiting...

    Accrding to DHL tracking, and confirmed by BBS staff, the package (containing all 23 ordered units ) was collected from BBS last Thursday.

    As of midday yesterday (Monday) it was "ON HOLD" in the DHL facility in Larnaca, Cyprus.

    The folks at BBS are following up with DHL to find out what the delay is.

    I will update when I have new info.

    The Nanocoms arrived at Sydney Airport this morning.

    Spoke with DHL this morning ready to sort out the paperwork, but it seems Customs still have the package on hold.

    Proabably won't hear any more from them over the weekend now.

    This is directed to Colin from BBS but there are quite a few Nanocom Evolution owners on the list that bought their hardware direct from Mattia, pre BBS involvement. I suspect they will be interested in the response so I figured it was appropriate to post the question in the public forum.

    Correct me if I am wrong, but the impression I get from the Nanocom.it website is Mattia is still involved with the Nanocom Evolution development ?

    If this is the case, what is the roadmap forwards with respect to firmware upgrades on Pre BBS Nano Evo's? The options as I see them ;
    'Mattia' owners will get direct access to BBS developed firmware.

    or There something going on in the background that will allow Mattia to post firmware updates to the Nanocom.it website?

    or 'Mattia' owners are going to be orphaned to just support from Mattia independently developed firmware?

    or are we going to get left out in the cold?

    Thank you for airing your high levels of personal concern and obvious mis trust and giving me an opportunity to respond to them publically. I recall many also imagining other unfounded negative aspects, such as we would hike up the price, or lock them to a VIN etc, even retrospectively can you
    believe. However as you can see from this thread alone, none of this is true either, and in fact these lucky participants of the group buy are getting their Nanocoms at a price probably well below what you
    paid !!!

    From your questions, i guess you must have completely missed my announcement letter, which is linked to from the front pages of both the BBS and the Nanocom website.

    It quite clearly states that the intent behind our agreement is to make a massive improvement for "everybody" and that it would allow the origional developer (Mattia) to concentrate soley on future developments.

    Already in a very short period, we have indeed made significant improvements in many areas.
    1) Any E-mail for support or information is now responded to almost instantly (Within our working hours
    of course) And you will hopefully note that we do not ask or care where it was purchased from.
    2) There is now a web shop for instant purchase of Nanocoms and additional unlock codes.
    3) We are very pleased to be working with reputable people like Paul to set up more local supply
    arrangements.
    4) We have already re worked quite a few of the documents and have produced system coverage
    documentation and instructional videos to better aid owners.

    Despite what you seem to imagine, there are no double standards and no mechanism exists for releasing future software upgrades, other than the single reserved for owners area on the Nanocom.it web site.
    There simply is no possibility for upgrades to be released that will only work on some Nanocoms and not others.

    As many more will shortly discover for themselves, the Nanocom Evolution is a simply stunning piece of technology. It is a real credit to it's origional developer, and the collaberation between us means it will only get better and have a much brighter future.
