    G'day Colin,

Cheers. I appreciate you laying down your policy in black and white.

Apologies if I came across as either negative or a cynic, that certainly was not my intention. I simply caught myself head scratching and wondering exactly where things stood. A bit of a habit when I am involved in the engineering side of through life support of equipment with a 30+ year life expectancy.

Somewhere in the flurry of activity I must have either missed your original post detailing the current state of play, or I simply mis interpreted. Either way I now have a clear picture in my mind about support for my Evo.

    Thankyou

The package cleared Customs today @ 6:23pm and is on it's way to me, duties paid.

At 10:59pm it was sitting in the DHL depot in Sydney.

DHL reckon it will be on my doorstep on Wednesday... past experience says 50% of the time that means someone will do a drive by and put a "sorry we missed you" card in my letterbox. No biggie, their depot in Canberra is not far from where I work anyway.

Next post should be me saying I've got them and am sorting them to send to y'all.

If any of you Victorians are attending the AULRO get-together at Greendale this coming weekend, let me know and I will hand-deliver your Evo to you... or if you have a mate attending and want me to give it to him/her instead of posting, let me know.

    Cheers, Paul.

No worries... look forward to meeting you.

DHL has the package in Canberra but have not yet attempted delivery or contacted me. I will contact them in the morning.

About to send out e-mails to all buyers with Tax Invoice and to confirm shiping details.

Edit @ 1:10am my web host and mail provider picked a great time to have a connection problem to my sites... 20 e-mails backed up in my outbox folder and I can't get to the main hardrange.com site... first time this has happened to me with them.

    Another
Edit @ 2:20am - all is good again... mail flowing and the web site is responding ok.

AULRO group buyers - please check your e-mails and the attached Tax Invoices I have sent you, and reply asap to confirm/correct the shipping details.

Will do the maths re final price once I've got the units in my hands.

    Cheers, Paul.

Collected the package today... Appears to be ok. Will start sorting and putting in to Express Post bags tonight. Some folks will have theirs by Friday.

Will also put some links up tonight showing how to register your Evo, recover your unlock codes and enter new ones.

    Cheers, Paul.

    Packed and Ready to Send

With the exception of a handful of folks who are getting their EVO's hand-delivered, the rest have been packed in Express Post bags and will be dropped off at the Post Office in Santa Sacks on Thursday by my lovely assistant in her TD4 Freelander.

Most people in metro areas on the East Coast should have them Friday, other areas next Monday or Tuesday. Brookvale in NZ, yours is coming Registered International Post so more like the end of next week from past experience.

I have just gone through the registration process and unlocked my EVO. Here are a few tips, with thanks to Colin for the links:

    1. to register at the nanocom.it site you will need the NANOCOM ID of your unit. It IS NOT the 4 digit number stamped or written on the back of the unit. To get the NANOCOM ID you need to power up the unit (either through the OBDII port of your car, or with a 12VDC/500-1000mA power supply) and go to the NANOCOM -> SETUP -> NANOCOM ID menu item. It is the alpha-numeric 6 digit code. This is what you enter at the registration screen.
See the video tutorial at Created by Blackbox Solutions Ltd.
    2. After registering, it only took a few minutes before I got an email back with my password. See Created by Blackbox Solutions Ltd.
    3. I was then able to log on to the "Restricted Area" imediately and recover my unlock codes from the "browsing licenses" menu. See Created by Blackbox Solutions Ltd. Note: these codes are case-sensitive.
    4. I found entering the unlock codes a bit fiddly with my fingers using the on-screen keyboard of the Evo. See Created by Blackbox Solutions Ltd. The paper Quick Setup Guide mentions that you can use a toothpick or pencil, but that didn't work for me. However, the stylus from my iPad worked just fine.
    5. After entering the codes, keep scrolling to the right until you see the "SAVE UNLOCK CODE" button, press it, wait and then keep exiting menus until you see the power button in the bottom right corner. Press it, wait for the unit to power down, unplug the power and then plug it back it.
    6. Nanocom Evo is now unlocked and ready to use.

Please familiarise yourself with the tips and instructional videos above as it will make setup quick and easy.

For the TD5 Defender and Disco 2 folks attending Greendale this weekend, I will be bringing my unit along so you can have a play if you want.

    Cheers
    Paul.
