Or perhaps why the search resources were knowingly sent to the wrong area ?

It is strange the military took so long to give this information, are they hiding something, the new search area is no where near where the plane should have been in the first place.

Maybe shot down by a rouge missile?

And why did MAS take five hours to realise one of there plans was missing?

    No, Tombie, I disagree.
They are as bad as a TV current affairs program thinking a poorly written TV drama series is real.

Also there is reports that some of the passengers face book or twitter accounts show them as being on line.
    Cheers Hall

    Here's another example.
I sign into facebook on my phone, and I don't sign out. I leave my phone on.
I go to bed. Next morning, SWMBO is ****ty with me asking why I was on facebook at 4am.
I wasn't. My phone was still signed in, so it displays me as being online.
Hall hit the nail on the head.
If multiple passengers social media accounts are still being displayed as active or online, that suggests that whatever mobile device they're logged in on is still not only intact but functioning.
Doesn't mean that anyone is alive, or that they're just chilling on social media like it's all a big game, or that it's a myth.
It simply means the last device they logged in on is still operational.
Which suggests that it either wasn't a totally catastrophic impact, or they're not Jules Verne

A possible terrorist attack using either surface-to-air or air-to-air missile, or cockpit invasion and hi-jack

    That's my thoughts.

    No.

From what platform would a terrorist launch a AAM ?

SAM - well at what altitude was the aircraft last reported at. I suspect higher than the typical outdated SAM they'd be likely to have, but not impossible.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

    Terrorism maybe not.
Could have unwittingly wandered into a military exercise?

I suggested back on page #1, the possibility that they managed a midair with a military plane whose owner is not prepared to admit they owned. The South China Sea has quite a few interested parties, so there are multiple possibilities.
