This is my favourite bit:
It somewhat dispels the myth that cyclists never get caught/fined etc.

So the top 10 roads around Adelaide for bicycle accidents all have bike lanes yet cars are still running into bikes. it sounds like the bike lanes are built like the ones around here where the bike lane runs out when it comes to an intersection or if their is a traffic island, i havnt been able to work out why they stop the bike lane where you need it most.
Question to all the cyclist haters out there
If you were driving along and were coming up behind a Lycra clad mamil and as you got closer you noticed him wearing this (below) would your attitude change at all? Would you see him as a fellow Landy brother and give him extra room or would he still be the bane of your existence?

Funnily, this happened to me just the other day. A fellow Landy owner was riding his push bike down the middle of the road and failed to stop at the stop sign. As I was a pedestrian at the time, I kept well out of his way.
Mind you, the fact he was a Landy owner had no bearing on my decision not to walk out in front of him.
Does the make of car have any bearing on your decision to ride through a red light in front of said moving vehicle? Does the make of car have any bearing on your decision to put yourself into a dangerous situation?
It would not matter what he was wearing. If he was obeying the road rules and was trying to reduce his impact on fellow road users by keeping to the left and not riding two and three abreast. I would probably smile and give him the Landy wave.Quote:
