Looks like it might be a view "from" the Three Sisters maybe. I would suggest they are on, or to the right of the photographer.

Of course, having never been there,,, who knows

He said east of the Great Divide so that counts out the 3 sisters

It is somewhere near Sydney. It could have been the Three Sisters as they are about 20km east of the Great Dividing Range, but it isn't.

We're somewhere to the north.

Spot on Roger. Genowlan Mt, not Mt Airly as it is commonly referred to.
