We have a baby kooky in a nesting box high up in one of our trees. Noisy bugger - keeps the parents hopping with its demands for food.
This bloke really does give 4WDrivers a bad name, I reckon.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
Kookys are bloody noisy here, and there are no young ones at the moment. They seem to laugh well into the evening and then start again about 3.30 in the morning.
Grey butcher birds always seem to have young here and they are pretty noisy, but only during daylight hours.
i came around a corner not far from here a few months ago and almost hit a shark lying on the road.Must have fallen off the back of a ute.![]()
I've been searching for a nice Kookaburra feather for my hat, but have not yet managed to find one.
If anyone finds one let me know!
