Letts see. On the ABC, must be right. Right? I reckon there's more to be read, bee utey. Horizons to broaden. Bias to unpick.

That particular article says a lot but tells nothing. I could link to a hundred articles that disagree, but I simply cannot be bothered. The ABC has an agenda, and the sooner people work that out the better.

If you are interested, I will link to sites that discuss issues like this in a more valuable manner than one poorly written and even more poorly researched piece of ABC click bait.

The rise isn't caused by renewables, it's caused by fossil fuel producers jacking up their prices. The rises were made by coal and gas electricity companies. Wind and solar power is cheap - it's fossil fuel power which is expensive despite being heavily subsidised.

I would so much like you to prove one word of that. In fact, I challenge you to PROVE one word of that. Proof please. Empirical evidence, not hearsay.

I suggest you ask to join the Current Affairs section if you want to discuss things like that. Here is not the place.

Wasn't me that posted CA crap here first. In fact, it was you. so if you have a problem with where it is placed, I suggest you ask the mods to move your post. I'll be happy to debate it wherever it is .

somewhere i this thread, someone posted that coal was expensive and wind was lowering the price.
the only thing closed in recent months is coal plants.

why hasnt wind stepped up to the plate.
do wind companyies not benefit from higher wholesale prices.....

Eevo, those are the $64 million questions that none of the advocates for renewables have the guts to answer. Has Wetherill answered them? No. Andrews? No. Trouble is, too many people believe everything the ABC spoon feeds them, when there is so much REAL info out there. Head. In. Sand. Why limit yourself to only one source of info, and one that is clearly and demonstrably biased? It makes no sense.

Oh, by the way, wouldn't that pointless comment have been better directed at DiscoMick? Or do your rules only apply to those that don't agree with you?
