That'll be another example of the judge or magistrate "following strict sentencing guidelines".
It's all very tightly controlled - just ask Mick. The problem with that theory is that those of us with our eyes open can see quite easily that it is complete and utter bull****.

If it gets to the point where Vigilante's (However poorly trained/equipped) are taking up arms in response to a problem Then there IS a problem and it shouldn't be ignored.
Too many of the Judiciary are from Privileged backgrounds and are out of touch with the reality of what is happening on the streets, Maybe IF the magistrates were to be held fully accountable for their weak as water decisions the next time that person offends it would make a difference.

True Blue Crew plan to take a stand against African gangs | Daily Mail Online
I'm hearing stories of vigilante groups following African youths from the railway stations and giving the youths a hell of a hiding whether these youths committed a crime or not.
Totally unacceptable as far as I am concerned but this is what we get when justice is not seen to be done. Individuals setting themselves up as judge, jury and executioner.
Want to stop it? Easiest solution is to deport the African youth offenders and make a big song and dance about it. But deport them, it's the law. Never to return.
That will send a clear message to perpetrators, victims, vigilantes and the general community.
What of the vigilantes? Yep, prosecute them too if they broke the law. And, yes, deport them to their country of birth. Let them deal with it.
Imagine if they had phone camera footage of a cop kicking the youth in the head. I bet he would not get let off so lightly. I think the pendulum has swung too far in favour of the perpetrators of crime. They are all innocent victims of circumstances some colourful named group in government would have you believe.

"Vigilante Groups"?....Should not be necessary, & a dangerous alternative?....I agree. However, if you lived in a "targeted"area where criminality was rife, close neighbors, or even your own family, were targeted, you may have a different attitude, I know I would.

It's getting worse, don't need to give any examples, it's in the paper & media outlets, increasing every day,...home invasions, bashings, assaults, shop staff, service station staff etc etc,....all copping it, more & more.
Thought we may have had an issue ourselves this afternoon!....Heard a loud BANG against the front door or a window, not sure which,...but no-one was at the front door?....So, with what is going on down in Melbourne, I thought someone might be trying to get me to go outside & check out the noise, thereby opening our security door. So, I didn't go out for a while. Silly/Stupid reaction?..It may or may not be,....who knows,...would not have even thought twice about going outside to check up in the past,.....Not now.
