when does the ssm vote thing close

Pretty much the same as Donald Trump saying he wouldn't abide with the election results if he lost
As far as I am concerned this postal vote is a waste of time and money.

So surely they can Balls Up and make a call on this Gay Marriage issue without all this BS ballot.

we should be doing more of these surveys.
we always conplain the politicians are out of touch.
Its called a "referendum", but then it would have to be enacted if the result was a majority "Yes", can't have that thus they do this costly bit of crap for what, Zilch if they dont agree...

Be cheaper to build homes for all the homeless families, but then that would go for profit in the contract, just like the waste now...

I forget now how many different times we in the West have had a referendum about daylight saving which each time was answered with a resounding NO.
Heaps of money wasted on that exercise each time as well.
The one thing that is consistent about politicians is that they are all rather good at squandering the public purse.

Polls are not always a good idea. Brexit is a good example. Turning into a disaster for Great Britain.

Thats because more people know you cant get an extra hour of daylight, only the pollies and not so smart ones want 25 hours in a day...
Bit like the saying, apparently from the American Indians, only the government believe you can cut a foot off the bottom of the blanket and sew it on the top and you have a longer blanket...

We vote the pollies in to do a job, sadly it seems we are voting for idiots from both sides... As one said, time to drain the swamp and start again...

Both sides dont look after the country but lead the people down the garden path... They should just change the marriage act back to what it was...

My thinking is that they changed it when they where discussing legalising homosexual acts... From memory the church was pushing for the change and as usual they got there way...

I knew I would find this...

    Marriage Amendment Act 2004

    3 After section 88E

    Insert:

88EA Certain unions are not marriages
A union solemnised in a foreign country between:

    (a) a man and another man; or
    (b) a woman and another woman;

must not be recognised as a marriage in Australia.

Baldy with glass's, ummm what was his name...
Anyway he pushed it through after Holland changed there marriage act to include all, as in gay and heterosexual...

Howard, you know the one that took firearms off the honest, good people and left the crims alone...

No wonder West Australians vote against it if they think that is what daylight saving means.

Have they not noticed that daylight is taken from winter and then used for longer days in summer when people stay outside for longer.
