Indeed. But who tells her that...? ( NOT about you, Bob. You've been places....) How do you prepare people for the horror of life?

I don't think that you can prepare anyone for an event as you have described. If you could prepare them what sort of person might they become? The best you can do is to be supportive and help them to realise that it's not their fault.
Thinking of you and wishing for the best.

You do. Life and death are part of the human condition. Young people are remarkably resilient, and your daughter is a young adult. She needs you right now to show some strength, to keep her strong. Not going to say much more than that, except that love heals/

Wow. Thanks Bob. Perfect response. It's been a tough six months, and you have just nailed it. Again, thanks.

Spending almost 40 years in the emergency services this is something you never get used to you need to be her rock sorry you guys are having such a crappy year things do get better all I can say is ask your daughter to see her gp and get help for what she has seen. You need to look after yourself to remember there are people out there that can help take care.

That's a relief. I wasn't sure if it was a bit over the top. I thought it had to be said, sometimes I say too much. All the best, things will work out.

Na man it dont. Nothing heals, love just makes it tolerable. Some times enjoyable but NEVER heals.
Thats why so many people damn do this sort of stuff, neck themselves even though they have people around them that love them dearly!!!

Just my warped perspective on life.
