Brian, I bet you are the sort of bloke that can recite word for word, all verses of "The Man from Snowy River".

    Sober or ****ed.
No chance, but I do know many verses of "The Ball at Kirriemuir" and several versions of "Mademoiselle from Armentieres"

Pity that. You'd better ask Ian whether it is ok to put them into print?

I think the answer will be a resounding NO!

Well the Greens and Labour party should be very pleased with themselves.

During an Energy statement made today, it was announced that it is highly unlikely that Victoria will be able to supply enough electricity during the peak summer demand times to be able to power household air conditioners and maintain industrial requirements.

They are saying there is every likelyhood of ongoing Brownouts. Blackouts by another name.

So much for renewable power supplies!

That would be hypocritical of him. I am sure he has sung the ditty in a few truckie low class drinking dens.

Brownouts are far more serious than blackouts. A blackout is zero voltage, causing electrical devices to shut down. A brownout is partial voltage, that can cause catastrophic failure to motors and electronic equipment.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

That's okay, they'll just import it from other states. It's an interconnected grid. No state can stand alone. Maybe renewable SA will help out Victoria. Tasmania is making lots of hydro. Even Queensland regularly sends power down to help out the southerners. We're nice, like that, up here. Climate Change and our Land of Fire, Flood and Drought.

Yup sharing is always better than not sharing.

As the most progressive and currently most prosperous state (Australia Talks last night) I wouldn’t be surprised if VIC might even take a leaf out of SAs book and give Elon a call.
