Don't blame him , I wouldn't eat it either. Our dog has a frozen chicken wing for lunch every day , if we buy them from Coles he will not eat them , the ones from Woolworths not a problem.

    Hi,
Sorry, the eyes are not the target. Just a red spot on the body that they can see, and they get alarmed and move off.
    Cheers

You could make friends with him, carry him around on your shoulder and teach him to go and fetch Heather next time you fall down.

Sorry mate, I really hope that you are Ok now! Cheers

No brings back too many memories when I was a young kid in the 60s. I had a pet cocky with a chain on his leg, I used to go everywhere with him on my shoulder to the shops on walks etc. One day I went to the milk bar and on the way back I noticed a crowd looking up in the air at the power lines. My cocky had bitten threw his chain and few up on the powerlines and was tangled in them, next my pet cocky exploded in sparks as he got fried. I was pretty traumised

Indeed. The ones around here eat my Jalapeno and Habanero chilis off the bushes. They nip the stem then hold the chili in one claw and eat it. The mountain lorikeets also love them as do the wild ducks.

Blow up some party balloons and attach them around your window. They will jiggle in the breeze and if pecked at, explode. You don't have to be there. It's worked for me before with another type of destructive bird.(NZ Kea)
    Don.
