Unmanned fuel distribution is becoming quite prevalent.

Not to the businesses erecting the peopleless pumps. The wages and outgoings have plummeted but the fuel price has remained as high as the market can bear.

there's a B P servo in Longreach which still gives you full driveway service....never used the Caltex.

See the Caltex in Cunnamulla closed too and left one of those pay in advance peopleless petrol pumps......now I'll empty my jerry instead and fill up at friendly Thargomindah......and it is friendly. One of the friendliest towns you can pull up in. Tractor once gave me $50 because I was short of a quid and it was New Years Eve.....know any other mayor would do that?

On that note the privately owned Shell in the middle of Narrabri has full driveway service too.

That BP is usually the cheapest in town too, Dennis, but you can't get a semi in there and lt has no hygene or gastronomic facilities.
    What's happened to the Matilda/Puma?

Oh come on lets get the story straight - if you were short of a quid, why would he give you $50 - when quids were around dollars were not with the exception of the changeover period in 1966.

So was it pounds, shillings and pence and quids or AUD?
