No TV for me either until teens.
We had a 12v, battery powered wireless and my father would swap with the car battery every so often, to keep it charged. No electricity in the district in those days so, grew up with 'Jason and the Argonauts', 'Greenbottle', 'Biggles' and the like, whilst my Mum listened to 'Portia faces Life'. Funnily enough, she wasn't a big 'Blue Hills' fan.

Greenbottle = yes , what?
A couple of those were Sunday Arvo jobs, certainly Jason was. It did make for a pleasant arvo especially if it was ****ing down There were soooo many back then, I'm surprised the ARK's power supply was able to keep up with demand although it did have a DUNLITE Wind Generator mounted on the stern.

Commenced in 1936 in SA & still going as a business but I doubt actually built here now. Assembled from Parts most probably.
Driving down a country road one would see all these Dunlites into the distance in various configurations & Tower styles.
the ark was a rowboat...."good rowing Jason, good rowing argonauts"
Please tell me if I'm I being a grumpy, old fart but, if my Disco gets a new oil and air filter with a basic service, why not the air con, pollen filter? I just had a look at mine and it looks like I've driven through a sewage treatment plant.
