So I'm driving up Bourke Rd in Melbourne yesterday and it's a busy road as usual with trams etc and as seems every local council is using up it's municipal roads budget, and ahead of me there is a lady, and I use that term loosely, standing in the road. It appears she got lost while crossing road with an arm load of boutique shopping bags and is now standing on the road a meter from the centre line and on her phone.
I slowed down and came to a stop as there was no way I could pass her. I waited a few seconds and politely beeped the horn twice.
She then looked at me and TURNED HER BACK to me.
I waited and waited and eventually after about a minute or so she casually walked to the opposite kerb, stopping on coming traffic.
    I drove on.
Now, its not often I'm at a loss for words but yesteday....hmmmm.

Correct me if I'm wrong here. I can't just nudge her with the bull bar like I would a dopey cow? And why?

I tell ya, another part of the human gene pool that needs a little chlorine.

You waited another minute????? About 2 seconds after she turned her back I would have been leaning on the horn, no little toots. Unfortunately this virus hasn't done enough spring cleaning of the gene pool.

And they were saying pedestrian fatalities are up,on last year, can't work out why.

Seems they still like to step out on a crossing without even looking, pushing pram and another kid in toe.

If they don't do the stop, look left, then right, then left again,so be it
