    Hello All,

No, not something else that is contagious! I went to the local auction house and bid on another spray gun. It had a reserve of $15 and it was still in the box, with everything inside the box looking and feeling squeaky clean. I doubt that the spray gun was ever used. I just checked out the same product from the retailer that sells them. Renegade brand from Trade Tools. It would have cost me $69 for a new spray gun and I got the one at the auction for $22. I bought the auction house one to use as an adhesive spray gun for my upholstery projects in Snowy, my 110 Defender ute. Using a brush just sucks through so much adhesive. If the gun gums up I have only lost $22.

Trade Tools also had a very nice looking 'touch up' spray gun for $59. I could see a use for such a compact gun.

Nnooo, I have been bitten again ...

    Kind regards
    Lionel

They walked and ran past some traffic light which I had walked or run to over the last two weeks. Some of them got me across six lanes of traffic in one pass. TWO of note gets you over a Single lane to a pedestrian island to a RED pedestrian light for the other side! Two lanes took several minutes

Another place made me go around three sides of a four-way crossroad to go the direction I was moving.

Not only pedestrian traffic issues - Some spots held through traffic will green pedestrian crossing parallel to the walkers? A few other bits I thought WHY?

Have to say a LOT of Walkers, runners, stand up paddle board, surfskis and fishing types along the very nice Maroochydore river and Maroochydore beach front. Only crazy Victorian swimmers spotted!

Jeez you really cover some ground doing your runnin' Would it not be more economical to leave a day or so earlier & walk up as well get you fit? (sez the bloke that couldn't run 50 M without being buggered for a day))

Maybe not buggered as in Buggered but buggery you understand.

Making me grumpy lately is "breakaway torque" spec on impact tools, which is confusing and just a marketing gimmick.

As far as I'm concerned, the only reason to watch golf is to see the grass grow...

Well, using more and more tech doesn't change that, but if this is anything to go by pretty soon all they'll need is robots to actually swing the club, and the player could phone in his shot...(wait, "phone"? Talk about archaic).

I guess I must be a candidate for the title of this thread, 'cos I think I've reached tech saturation. I've always loved innovation, but this ain't it, this is plain boring and scary at the same time. I think I'll find some more B&W footage of early Bathursts to watch.

Fines or should it be the other way?

Upside down? A access road near me had dirt verges. Cars could park easily and traffic could pass both ways with ease. Council put pretty concrete guttering and resurfaced the road. They put some parking bays at one end near a park. No parking restrictions at all now and the new road is that narrow its impossible for more than one vehicle at a time to pass any parked car. Several people park there daily.

Council engineers I spoke with say it's all to "Standards" and refuse to consider putting parking restriction on one side.

"Liverpool Council in Sydney's south-west will not fine cars parked on rolled kerbs following community uproar over narrow streets. As reported by Nine News last night, the tight squeeze behind some Horningsea Park housing developments has forced residents to decide whether to park on the kerb and risk a fine, or block traffic.
The council has today instructed rangers not to book drivers forced onto the sidewalk, which it said has been a draft policy since last year."

Council here standard has very high curb that only a high lift 4wd just might be able to park like in Liverpool

My view is the Council here and anywhere should be spanked for making roads so thin traffic cannot use them with out causing mayhem at time. The Parking fines wouldn't occur if the streets were fit for purpose. Add garbage truck has not got through a few times already- TOO STANDARD service?

Road Safety? Not on your nellie! It was probably cost cutting due to the Council Grader operator wanting his/her long service leave to bugger off to Bali for year or two.

    Inflation.

With the new GG cost increase of a little 40% pay increase inflation may not be as under control as promised by some?

How much stuff is worth is often in the eye of a collector with stacks of $$$$$$$$. When it comes to hounoary role and appointments I suspect a LOT of very qualified and suitable people could do the GG job for peanuts.

Note a certain ev CAR persons recent USD$50 odd billion may be seen as putting the mere AUD$700,000 pay in perspective?

Naaaa its obscene or I am just grumpy

PS Tariffs, Tax cuts and spending increases funded by printing presses for cash is inflationary as well

Trying to deal with Optus and Telstra call centres is so bloody frustrating. One appears to be in the Philippines, the other in India and I can't understand the operators. On top of their accents is the crappy line quality. I don't understand why the quality is so bad. I worked in international telecoms (OTC) for 37 years and quality was never as bad as these lines.

Using their messaging method gets one a bot which is GAAAHHH!

I cancelled my internet and phone with Optus but they are still charging me. I'm trying to get that fixed. It's a nightmare.

I'm hopeless with accents. My wife watches Shetland, I don't because I can hardly understand a word they are saying. Ditto with some Irish Customs programme she watches. They're unintelligible. My wife doesn't like turning on sub-titles.

I liked the programmes Guy Martin did but I have difficulty understanding his Lincolnshire accent. The problem is that his programmes don't have sub-titles available.

NO, NOT JUST YOU Sailor Boy. Me as well & is a necessity in our Governance of OZ but the bloody salaries that are paid seems bloody ridiculous to me. I wonder what scrutiny they get, remember the Bishop of Oodnagalaby an accused kiddy fiddler seemed to get the job ok but resigned or booted out early in his Term of Office.

Pushed, shoved or walked, who who can say?

But still walked away with a nice fat Pension I . What they need is an Ex Sailor who knows the ropes. Deffo a matey matey appointment imho. Nah, can't see Albo being involved in something like that can you?
