i think the most effective boost to supply of vaccines would be local production of mRNA vax. This is not a quick fix as it's said that it would take somewhere between 1 to 4 years to bring a facility on line depending on whether a brown fields or green fields site was used. Until that happens we will be at the whim of overseas supply.

As to the UDHR, I don't think it would be a violation at all. People are not forced to have a vaccine, they are simply not allowed to work in those environments/roles. Being vaccinated is just a requirement of those particular jobs in those environments. Much the same as you can not practice medicine without the appropriate qualifications or hold a position in a high security clearance facility if you don't have the appropriate security clearances regardless of your abilities.

Information is definitely withheld by authorities, as in the case of the big flu scare of several years ago. A major, Qld hospital was on high alert, with extra, specialised treatment areas ready and serious contingency plans. These details were never made public, so as not to panic the sheep. Not saying 'Right or Wrong, just making the point.

Take the time to look in the right places, the info is there. Fair dinkum, if we had thousands of deaths people would be screaming from the rooftops, The whole thing has been handled well, [ by the States at least, no matter what the politics suggest] To have done well, and have people scream conspiracy, well, that's simply Orwellian Dystopia.

i think i agree. estimates ive heard are 24months. why are mNRA vaccines not currently produced in aust? too expensive? no suitable workforce?

yes we're at the whim of oveseas supply, and i get the feeling, we're going to runout before the next batch arrives. given this possibility, the aim should be to prioritise who gets the doses. i dont know why the phased rollout was scrapped.

navydivers proposal sounds like its mandatory, hence the violation.

im on the fence about a vaccination being mandatory for a job. on one hand, jobs have physical requirements that need to be met (ie firefighter) but on the other hand, my body, my choice. and long term impact still not known.

Yes because they did not order it in sufficient quanitites last year when they had the chance (we went from the front of the queue to the back of the queue) and put almost all there eggs in the AZ basket because we were going to make it here. Now that public confidence in AZ is gone, not because of blood clots but public administration bungling Az is being ditched and there is not enough Pfizer to make up the shortfall.

What for simply reporting all the changes that the authorities have been making - and broadcasting media conferences live where these people and making changes every day - that is not the media.

I'm not offering up a conspiracy. I just want to know whether it is as lethal as first thought. Going by valid, Qld health figures, it's not, which, if true, is wonderful.
I mean, none of the recent, positive cases are in hospital, as far as I can ascertain!
