Vaccinations don't necessarily prevent you from getting Covid19, but they are largely preventing people from becoming so unwell they need to be hospitalised. EG: UK infections are rising, BUT hospitalisations have dropped to relatively low numbers.
Only when Australia reaches more than 50% fully vaccinated (2 doses) can 'living with it' even begin to be considered.
The actual 'rest of the world' including, India, Brazil, most of Africa, etc, are not living with it, they are dying with it - due to low numbers of vaccination. Anyone who thinks Australia should 'live with it' now is asking for the same outcome as these un-vaccinated countries.
