Tasmania's Premier on the virus.
Tasmania's Premier Peter Gutwein is speaking now

He's kicked off with a very clear message: "Unless you are a returning Tasmanian or an essential traveller, you should not come to our state."

He also addressed some Facebook posts circulating about caravans and the TT line (the ferry that runs between Tasmania and mainland Australia).

Mr Gutwein says he wants to be clear: The only caravans or camper vans carried on the last two sailings of the Spirit have been caravans owned by Tasmanians.

"Furthermore, in terms of vehicles that are travelling on the Spirit that may have mainland plates, again, there are many Tasmanians — students and others — that work on the mainland. That is understandable. And we will let Tasmanians come home."

Mr Gutwein said the Spirit's priorities are returning travellers, freight and essential workers, all of whom will need to go into 14 days quarantine once they arrive on the island.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
