We met 5 Vic cars on the Spirit who were going to a track publicized by 4wd action..which was previously only known to and looked after by locals..and now most likely will be closed due to too much pressure😐

We told them not to bother..but they did..we then had to find parts to get them back to Vic..sum total was they achieved one track or two in 10 days. The rest was recovering and chasing parts for major repairs...fun for You Tube content where free parts are available..but not fun for young blokes with angry partners and limited cash reserves.

I'm being totally selfish of course...and no offence to those who do the right thing...just that Tas is small and green pressure is still high here.🙄
I didn't realise it was that bad, we did a trip down there in 2016 and did Ring River among other tracks, we were going to do the Sawback track but when it looked like we needed to winch into the big hole about 5KM in we thought he best of it given the convoy participants and took the easy way into Adamsfield. When we were filling up in Zeehan the bloke running the servo was complaining about the locals running ever larger tyres and making it impossible to get anywhere without a modified rig.

    Hi,
Now filled in with roadbase. Gates on either end of the track to keep it one way.
    Cheers

Let's hope the feared second wave doesn't happen and we can copy NZ and reopen the whole country soon.

If that doesn't work you could try some Fish Food.

BAME and Coronavirus: Why Is COVID-19 Affecting Us More

Bottom line is, supporting our own immune system is the easiest and perhaps most effective action the individual can take, all things being equal.. And sleep... Even if done by supplements (not foods) only, Vits A to E to suitable levels is still cheap insurance.

Conversely, a SAFE, properly tested and (guaranteed ?%) 'effective' vaccine is years away, if other vaccine productions are a guide.

Why wait till then, if you can do something now to increase your chances ?

When my son was about 11 and was at a new school one of the parents asked where he came from and he said ... "Brunswick".

I know an Asian teenager who was asked that question in Logan. His reply was, 'Woodridge.'

Kingston south of Hobart was a favourite place for Dutch settlers in Tas...many trades people and teachers. A few years ago at our school P&F meeting a real ocker type referred to some of the mums as 'you Dutchies'...to which they all said..'we are Aussies..we were all born here'.

    'You know what I mean'...she said..with a red face😞

Servo is gone..now an auto fill..but the last operator certainly made money from visiting 4wds so not sure why he would be complaining too much.... as did the motel....which must be struggling now. The area is in need of revitalisation and the local tracks need better management not just closures. But the Council is pretty hopeless in that regard and to be fair it has major legacy issues such as mine tailing pollution to deal with and declining population ...so tracks get ignored or buck passed to the State who are equally unwilling to recognise the benefits of off roading.

I'm all for visitation...it's the glorification of smashing tracks for marketing and promo that is wrong. Bring back Roothy☺
