I have found that people with half a brain and know what they are doing behind the wheel of a 4WD Can enjoy the bush WITHOUT wreaking the access tracks.
All this wheel lifting and wheel spinning that people do on these tracks are 99% of the time are unnecessary with a modern 4WD or even with an older 4WD in skilled hands.
HOONS are Not just found on our streets they are also found in numbers in the bush as well unfortunately

Here in the U.K. the airlines have joined together to take the government to court to force them to lift the 14 day quarantine period for international arrivals as it is killing their business

I've copped that for a lot of my life, although maybe less the last few years.
People didn't want to accept 'Australian' as an answer.

    'Tis funny!

But the Council is pretty hopeless in that regard and to be fair it has major legacy issues such as mine tailing pollution to deal with and declining population ...so tracks get ignored or buck passed to the State who are equally unwilling to recognise the benefits of off roading.

I'm all for visitation...it's the glorification of smashing tracks for marketing and promo that is wrong. Bring back Roothy☺

I bet no council bod has even considered using the Mine tailings to build up the tracks. Eeeeeeerrrr noooooo. Duuuuh.

In the only photo I have seen of you Rick you look utterly British. Aw ok,, Australian British then. The "Spitfire Moustache" is a bit of a givaway though.

Which reminds me of one year going north out of Palm Ck,on the Tele track.

Second go the Deefer, basically stock, was up onto the dry land.It did have a new set of M2’s at the time.

We had just spent nearly two hours watching 5 Pootrols.lifted, locked, bla, bla, being winched up.

One of the other drivers actually came over and congratulated my son,who was driving.

I don’t think they could believe their eyes.

In fact I didn’t think the Deefer would do it either, but it did.

Now what was this thread about?......
