Well, they say every cloud has a silver lining. Lock down has reduced influenza deaths.
Flu deaths prevented as cases plummet amid coronavirus lockdowns, AMA says
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
Rubbish!
My granddaughter works in a large shopping centre which is absolutely packed every day. She reckons its as busy as Christmas.
She's more concerned about getting the virus at her work or on a train or bus than she is at an outdoor event like a march where there was a lot of attention paid to social distancing.
The reason the crowds looked so big was people were trying to stay 1.5m apart where possible.
I'm still waiting to hear of a single confirmed case of someone catching the virus at an anti-racism protest anywhere in Australia. If its confirmed anywhere, I'd be interested to hear.
Anyway, now the government says 10,000 people can go to a football match, so what's the difference?
Racism is a huge problem in Australia, which has a long and disgraceful history of slavery, so I think its good people are protesting against it.
Sounds similar to the Qld system.
There are various categories for 'exempt persons'. Qld residents are automatically exempt. I imagine the rules are similar for each closed state and territory.
I see WA knocked back Clive Palmer, so he had a sulk and rushed off to waste the High Court's time. Could you let him in and then keep him please? Be doing Qld a favour.
My doctor is fully aware.
My travel habits are fully approved under the Qld border closure rules. Have you checked the exemptions under your WA rules?
There are numerous vids on Twitter taken by people who were in Central Railway waiting for trains which confirm the crowd, which included people unconnected with the protest who were just waiting for trains, was peaceful until the cops pushed them up against the walls and pepper sprayed them.
Pepper spraying makes people rub their teary eyes, which could spread the virus from their hands, so maybe someone who was pepper sprayed will come down positive because of the action of the cops. Could they sue the state of NSW?
Your last paragraph is an insulting personal attack and you should delete it.
People at a football match are ticketed, so that when tracing contacts following infection, the contact details of every one there are available, and also the part of the stadium where they were. None of this information is available for a demonstration.
And we won't know whether the number of cases on the loose is low enough that we dodged the demonstrations starting another wave of infection for another couple of weeks (up to two weeks incubation plus possibly another two weeks before the infected get tested).

Reverse racism is a huge problem in Australia.
Reconciliation etc is a myth. One side wants everything - a real have your cake and eat it too scenario.
Claiming to want everything the major population gets, whilst receiving more hand outs and assistance than any other.
What would fix it? Levelling the playing field 100%.
People should be assisted based on situation, not on their skin colour or legacy.
Being a decent human is not about colour, race, beliefs. It’s about not being a thief, bum, lazy, violent, rude, or of exclusion.
As for the protest - using an event thousands of miles away, involving a thug criminal - during a pandemic - to argue that we have the same issues here is pathetic.
Did you see any of the interviews done? Total hatred of anyone pale skinned. Mostly by Bludgers on our welfare system and University Arts Students!
All ****ing lives matter
And all criminals need to be dealt with. If one group is continually more represented in crime stats perhaps we should be looking at why, how they react when being intercepted. Around here it’s like fishing! Catch and release. Why? Race. Around here the General crimes are by a specific demographic, at its the same group over and over.
I’m not racist - I’m intolerant of low life’s - regardless of their origins. Be nice to me and I’m nice to you. Work well on my site and I’ll happily hire you. Be a **** and I’ll remove you. Whyalla is like the United Nations, we have a plethora of nationalities and a significant indigenous population. Almost all nationalities/races work here. In the crime stats though, one group rates well above - thefts, cars, shop lifting, break ins. And when apprehended are treated with kid gloves. Same group has exclusive Dental, Medical, TAFE, training, clinical support that the others aren’t able to use. And free transport to anywhere at taxpayers expense.
Wouldn’t expect you to agree with anything regarding this or the pandemic anyway - you’ve spent much of it posting cut and paste info - and all the while galavanting all over the place, including crossing borders, all for the sake of your own selfish needs.
I’m out.... no further correspondence will be entered into.
Sorry Mods. I’ll take my penance as you see fit.
Not a chance in hell of me deleting what I posted, What part of this is a "personal" attack MickYour last paragraph is an insulting personal attack and you should delete it."One of my "Pet" hates is self righteous bastards that think the rules and using decent behaviour doesn't apply to themselves as long as they get their jollies off pushing their own agendas."
