I thought the numbnuts in WA were bad, but what I saw at home is nothing compared to the behaviour here.

Figures. If & when someone does a survey of Hand Sanitiser use I guess from that post that Vc'ns will come out as winners if the count is in "Who didn't use any?"

Time to bring back the Stocks. That'll fix them, a bit of the olde Convict treatment.

It's the Northern suburbs (where I live) - it could be any ethnicity at all. Plenty of nationalities/ethnicities here have strong family ties.

True, and in Vic they're talking about locking down the Northern suburbs of Melbourne but further loosening restrictions in the west of the State, because there hasn't been a case at all anywhere West of Ballarat (i.e., in the Western third of the State).

Odd. So, you can fly to Victoria but Victorians can't fly to WA?

Don't know where you were (in Melbourne?) but when I go shopping everyone's standing on the Xs at the register and otherwise keeping their distance. Restaurants, can now sit down but limited numbers. Office workers told to stay home for about another month. However shopping centres are apparently a bit feral.

Yep. Looking at the numbers I can kinda see why. At one point it looked like I might have to drive, so I got an exemption to pass through SA without quarantining just in case. If I were to turn around and head home now I'd be in 14 days quarantine.

We're living in Parkville. We haven't roamed far, but stopped in Tullamarine, Footscray, Collingwood and a shopping center in Maribyrnong. That was an eye opener. We've resolved not to do that again.

I'm sure the general population is playing by the rules, we probably just picked bad examples but we've realistically only been here 4 days.

That's how border controls work. People from states with entry controls can travel to states which have chosen not to have entry controls e.g. Victoria and NSW. People who don't like that should complain to the governments which chose not to have border controls. That's how it works.

I also try to not go to Maribyrnong.

I'll take that as advice. We'll be here until the end of Oct, so I guess we'll learn the spots to avoid.

People should act responsibly, and not take advantage of loopholes. Legal or not, it's a great way to introduce the virus to sterile areas.
