As I mentioned b4 waaaay back. The Govt. here is saying if you have any symptoms then that is the time to get tested.
Me being healthy in mind (?) spirit & soul is ok, also being perfect helps.

Being isolated & surrounded by forest & open green fields also must help. So does being a Billy No mates.

Hark, was that a ton of bricks falling?

It was a conscious effort to repress the "she'll be right" approach and get the test done. I'm not sure that everyone would go if they were in a safe area and had only a small chance of contracting Covid.

You acted very responsibly. Well done!
As I've said before, if there is any cause at all for concern - get tested.
Its not for us so much, its to prevent us infecting other people. For example,we got tested before visiting the wife's 88 year old father, just to minimise the chances of us making him sick.
I see in Victoria they're now doing mass testing to minimise the chances of it spreading.
This is the 'new normal' now and its going to continue long-term, even when there is a vaccine for Covid-19.
The loss of habitat is forcing more wild animals into contact with humans, and there are literally millions of coronaviruses out there, so its inevitable more will jump from animals to humans. We've already had three in 20 years. This is not going away.

    This article supports more testing:

Do I really need to get my family tested every time we have a runny nose this winter?

No it’s not - it falls under the rare category.

The ****s was a big thing with SARS not Cov2

They have included almost any ailment as less likely.
    Reality is uncommon.

Very early on it was highlighted as one of the differences between a cold and Covid19 but doesn't seem to get visibility so much now.

A friend of mine had cold symptoms last week and got tested - all clear but started to suffer some diarrhoea and so went back for another test yesterday (no results yet) - in the ACT testing is not done when there are no symptoms but on the basis of the diarrhoea they tested him again. He said the testers were rough as guts and shoved the swab so far up his nose and without care that they caused a major nose bleed so they had to do it again up the nostril. He was not a happy camper.
