NO replicated number of RCT's will alter the mindset of doctor who sees a positive result from a treatment..then withdraws it, because he doesn't like it... sees the patient deteriorate, yet resists until legal action to re-instate the demonstrably useful therapy.

After my little sepsis episode , I lost count of the number of antibiotic bags pumped into me over the following week. Wonder how much they co$t ???

If you were really cynical, you'd wonder why the Aged & Care Homes all over the world are particularly unlucky it seems.

Are we having a clean-out ? Bumping off the old, cared-for, frail and elderly will save governments a fortune.

- They don't need to die FROM Covid, the mental/emotional damage of being isolated from their families & visitors will encourage Immune System Depression and thus hasten the inevitable. Even 'flu is deadly for them, more so if "COVID" gets written on the DC.

Don't forget that all are somewhere on the Last Lap, so this is only moving the Finish Line closer !

According to inside information from my brother in Houston, the issue was staff not physical beds (he has contacts in the hospital board). It is likely that they managed to find more doctors and nurses, possibly from interstate.

I is very possible that politics is involved in some way - Texas has a Republican Governor, Houston area local government is largely Democrat, and there is a significant possibility that Texas may go to the Democrats in November - something that has been unthinkable since the Democrats and Republicans swapped roles on the subject of segregation more than fifty years ago.

So you wanted IV Vit C and the Doctor didn't? There is a huge difference between iv antibiotic and Intravenous vitamin C. Proof. studies like your link are very welcome. Using unproven and some times dangerous treatment sound far to much like a nutter in the US to me.

Thanks SQ. Weird. Yes. Interesting read but like 5G still gets confusing for me. A "nice" bunch of theories by a lot of folk.

As if C-19 isn't bad enough, researchers have found a new version of swine flu which has already jumped to 10% of swine workers and 4% of the population in the study area. Fortunately, it not appear to have passed from human to human - yet!

If this was from any country other than China to me it might have some street cred. Me being a suspicious bastard makes me wonder if it may be an attempt to cover their collective arses by saying "Look at us, aren't we clever discovering this & letting the world know .[We can do it if & when it suits us".]

Just so they can look like good chaps if Covid ever comes to an International Investigation.

I don't trust them. They have proven, like Donald & Boris to be out & out liars.

Yes. anti-BIOTICS are a targeted killer of (bacterial) pathogens. Ascorbic acid /a.k.a. Vitamin C is not, though it is reputed to have a measure of viricidal properties.

What I had requested was not "just" a dose of Vit-C, but the MARIK Protocol for SEPSIS, the Vit C being used for it's effect on the immune system. NOT as a replacement for whatever bug-killer is indicated. It's been demonstrated to shorten time in the ICU, that itself is a measureable $$$- value AND the longer term effects (or avoidance of) of Sepsis. Being in an ICU for any length of time has the potential to adversely affect patients, being in an induced coma the same, having sepsis (septic shock, 'Septicemia; 'Blood Poisoning' also can load the patient with on-going baggage.
It follows that having a REDUCED severity of sepsis and shorter stay in ICU is are Good Thing$.
I got off lightly with only 3 days/4 nights (?) in ICU & ventilation. Of the 13 days in hospital, for an original 'over-nighter', only the last 3 make any sense.
