Particularly astonishing given the extent to which Queensland, including its hospitals, is subsidised by taxpayers in NSW and Victoria.

And, I'm sure, without even checking, that a lot of Australians resident in Queensland would seek specialist treatment in NSW and Victoria.

Why so? Are those Southern Hospitals seen to be better? Genuine question.

Mia Culpa- I was not set up as quickly as I wish I was. Hotels and other places make it really hard. Things can and should be done. Demanding it was done in the past is not helpful. Ms Palaszczuk was asked yesterday about the cases of a Ballina woman who nearly lost her baby, after she needed a*emergency caesarean.

She was denied access into Queensland, and needed to be flown to Sydney.

"Those decisions are made by health professionals not made by politicians, not by Premiers. Where there is critical care, that is not for politicians," she said.*

Everyone is entitled to their opinion I guess. Mr Jones seemed to be on a misogynist rant at N.Z. and condemning and contraindicating himself in my opinion. The 'Hello World' of 80s Sydney seems a long way from here [biggrin]. Excuse me for the use of "misogynist". words can be interesting. Mr Jones would not think himself one of course and has said so often loudly. [biggrin]

Science and research base. More universities which link and feed hospitals. Honest answer. That said Loved the cool hospital visit in Qld for my little guy. An ex navy medic plaster Guru was great as were the nurses and Docs. [thumbsupbig]

I see more victorians have been caught lying on their paperwork to get into Queensland and have to front court over it

I didn't hear it and don't know what was said...but if he was having a rant about NZ, we deserve it....we have been busily patting ourselves on the back and accepting accolades from US celebrities like Oprah and other such heavy weights!(tongue very much in cheek)...well, we here we are, we have covid again...maybe we aren't as good as we thought we were. Maybe we can't tut-tut at the rest of the world!
