There must be a formal system to get around this John, but I don't know what, but a sworn Declaration might be a possibility, after all someone apart from yourself must know her & be a witness. Someone from her Retirement Village for instance?

    Good Luck.

I can't help her - it is nearly 1000km from here. I'm sure there is a a procedure for it, but finding out what it is, and following it, when you are blind and live about 60km from the nearest town of any size (Wangaratta) is a bit of an issue. She has a daughter lives nearby, who will be her main help, but she works. I doubt the village will be much help - it has, from memory, only about five units and no staff.

I am sure she will manage it with her daughter's help, but it is going to be a big effort on her part. She was better off when her son was nearby, but he got a new job in Port Macquarie eighteen months ago, although he was briefly there last week - he was down to get his youngest started at Swinburne in Geelong.

If not reproduction then certainly the subsequent parenting is an issue.

Our latest cluster of 11 (since 14 Feb) still has no index case or clear link to an origin, is predominantly high school kids and their siblings. Self-entitled little idiots are not isolating when told to and subsequently leaving a trail of possible infection sites when eventually testing positive. There was a situation last week where a person was told to isolate but didn't and was subsequently tested positive. The scorning from authorities was absolute but no action taken against them but threats of a Section 70(f) (enforced detention under the Health Act 1956) was touted as an option. This latest one was showing symptoms since last Tuesday but continued going out and about despite being told to isolate, as well as the mantra "stay home if you are sick" we have all heard since Feb last year. He eventually got tested on Friday and then straight after the test went to the gym! His mother has also been found positive.

Our PM is reportedly "frustrated" at the actions of a few not following instructions. Needless to say there are an additional 5 million feeling "frustrated" today too.

That’s a bit harsh Rick, the PM is only doing what she thinks is right.

Mother (96) is in NSW nursing home. Vacination concent forms came through the other day to be signed. No mention of photo ID being needed there.

Maybe that condition was inserted by a Pom in a peak cap or a Jobsworth?

Why do you think that she needs photo ID? I just checked the Government website and there's no mention of that at all. Who said that it was required?

Edit: with this kind of thing the first step is to ascertain if what's being claimed is even the case at all - if not, all good, if so - move on to resolving the issue. Going off half-cocked or on a wild goose chase is a complete waste of effort.
