There are people with political and racist prejudices deliberately circulating false rumours to try to stir up trouble and make scapegoats.
Remember that the Chinese have suffered more than any other nationality from this crisis - their losses have been enormous. To then blame them is very unjust and unAustralian, I think.
I recommend everyone reject and refuse to repeat nasty rumours.
We, the whole of the human race, are all in this together and now is a time for unity, not finger-pointing, I believe.
I hope the mods will clamp down on posts designed to make trouble.

BTW I believe the Chinese fatality rate was 1%, not 3%, but happy to be corrected.

Dont believe everything China is reporting regarding percentages.

China Coronavirus: 80,928 Cases and 3,245 Deaths - Worldometer

    80,928 cases.
    3,245 deaths.
Equates to around 4 percent i believe.

Hints on how to help the elderly during this crisis. Common sense, a lot of it, but there hasn't been much of that lately.

Even though it’s hard, try to be grateful. Many of our grandparents had to go to war – or keep the country running and families healthy while others fought. We are just being told to stay at home.

Here's what you can do to help the elderly during the coronavirus pandemic
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

On Tuesdays day time TV they were running ads which listed the various things to do during this crisis. One of the things listed was to get and keep 2 months worth of your normal prescription medicines.

On TV tonight they are saying there is panic buying of prescription medicines.

They cause a panic and then castigate the community for following instructions.

The reason the water is still there is that some bright idjit worked out that getting a Hernia whilst lifting 4 cartons wasn't worthwhile & they would wait until they reached to toot paper aisle as they could then carry 10 times as much.

I'm sure the Media are hand in glove with the retailers for that very reason. "Clear the shelves of everything lads & make our bottom line look fantastic". Kickbacks? I never mentioned Kickbacks.

The new Costco shop opened at the Perth Airport today and people were lined up from 0230 and most arrived about 0500 with a line 100s meters long , don't have a problem with that each to there own , what got up my nose was on the TV report no one followed any of the rules to lesson the transmit ion of Covid 19 ie maintain 1.5 Mts separation , they were all over each other and a mad scramble for " yep you guessed it " Dunny Paper . No wonder this Covid 19 is going to spread like wild fire from about now i would say .

The mind boggles . Wonder why the 100 max people gatherings do not apply to supermarkets . ?
