Went to Coles Kincumber at 6.55 this morning .
    Iwas about 100 in line.
joined a queue to buy toilet paper. None there . No staff knew when there would be some.
About 50 in line just waiting for no info.
    lefti In disgust.
Wife now going to ALDI to see if any there.

How can this be good for aged and infirm to be in group of 100 waiting for no info.
    regards PhilipA

The promising math behind " flattening the curve ". Infectious diseases spread exponentially, not linearly. The numbers may not be as bad as they seem. Maths freaks will love this.

That's a moral decision, not legal.

It appears NSW is pushing through emergency legislation - so has it been legal up to now?.

Kulgara roadhouse, on the SA/ NT border, a quarantine Stop? Police and ADF to man checkpoints in the NT. Plus one of those " it could only happen in the NT " stories. A mate rang and said the NT is having problems with people hoarding essentials. Not toilet paper, but alcohol.

Same where I am - they say there is plenty in the warehouses but it is not getting to at least my local stores - I am beginning to suspect we have been lied to again - I guess the zombies have cleaned everything out and rationing came in too late.

What about that hidden army of the homeless?

"On the other side of the health crisis, it’s clear a rapid, nation-building expansion in social and affordable housing must be part of Australia’s plan. Well-designed, secure and maintained housing should be Australia’s first defence, not our weakest link, in combating health, climate and economic crises."

Homelessness and overcrowding expose us all to coronavirus. Here's what we can do to stop the spread

New Zealand moves to alert level 4, which means the virus is sustained, intensive, and wide spread. Fines and jail terms for those who ignore the lockdown.

As NZ goes into lockdown, authorities have new powers to make sure people obey the rules

I agree with you, the system needs to be improved,..BIG TIME,....how can "oldies" queue up for hours & then get nothing.
I've been supportive of all the restrictive measures so far, but this one is definitely not working.
What would I know, but maybe fresh deliveries could happen very early morning, make sure the shelves are full, then the oldies can shop for an hour properly. Maybe an orderly by date,on line ordering & delivery system could be set up, surely the stores could absorb the cost, they'd be one of the very few that are making big dollars at the moment. An on line ordering system would have its ordering item "limits" too, so that the greedy "people" would be "squashed".

Could we get a fund together and buy Pickles a new keyboard? One without a broken period key.
