I think a lot of this is a very sad reflection on the teaching of science in our schools. And logic, for that matter!

Not all of the comments come from medical Doctors, (retired) Scientific Researchers and other technocrats. There are some ordinary, less informed folk contributing.... outside their areas of expertise, just like here.
Yep, good advice to get out more...till we are locked down again by the second / third / fourth wave.

Please explain to me how 5G can cause a virus? The article doesn’t.
Oh, and apparently coronavirus started in San Marino.
I’m told that when electricity was put on in my district some of the old people also said similar things .... it radiated, it made people sick - and before them the Luddites .... there’s a long history of this kind of stuff.

Huh? Let me see if I understand this - Daniel Andrews, Premier of Victoria, has, because he’s a control freak relaxed restrictions in Victoria so that there will be a surge in infections so that he can ..... resist reimposing restrictions, as is currently the case?
The truth is that Dan Andrews has huge approval ratings in Vic and the best that the Murdoch / Liberal party coalition could come up with, a while back, was that he was a control freak. Really? Unlike, say, the premiers of Qld and SA who locked the State borders? Or the WA premier who not only locked borders but prohibited movement within WA?

The Nation will suffer if Victoria doesn't contain the virus. Some Victorians have been quoted as saying " I don't care, I'm getting on with my life,".
“It wouldn’t take long for it to get out of control.”
The key to stopping the coronavirus before it gets out of control is for everyone to be be “vigilant” in observing social distancing and hygiene measures, said Professor Emeritus Gerry FitzGerald, a public health expert at the Queensland University of Technology.
“It remains a serious illness, a serious concern and we need to be vigilant,” he said.
“I, like everyone else, was upset to hear some of the people being interviewed in Victoria saying, ‘I’m going to live my life,’ well that’s pretty self-centred.”
If Victoria has a second wave, the rest of the nation will suffer
