    Queensland police slam 'selfish' Victorians

Officers discovered via photos and location searches on their mobile phones that the group had been in Victoria in the past 14 days.
"They're selfish," Queensland Police Deputy Commissioner Steve Gollschewski told Today.
"They think they can game the system and get around it by sneaking across or filling a false declaration.
."That will cost them a lot of money. The worst thing is that they're putting others at risk. How do they know whether they have caught (coronavirus) or not? The issue for us is, of course, keeping COVID out of Queensland.

"This is what this is about." [ Amen to that. But if People want to lie, makes it even harder. ]

Hmmm .... Victorians or just a bunch of backpackers who'd been in Victoria? There is a difference.

And it said that they tried to cross on foot - what, and left their vehicle behind? Are there a lot of abandoned vehicles at the NSW/QLD border? Who was driving?

Are these the same apocryphal backpackers who supposedly tried to cross the border on foot?

IF they were backpackers (which is the most likely scenario) they should be thrown out of the country ASAP

This story says they were trying to cross in a minivan, the driver was from Qld and they said they had been in NSW for three weeks, but evidence on their mobiles showed otherwise. More than 850 have been denied entry to Qld since Friday.

    So, all that needs to happen is, you are honest. If not;

    • I declare that the information I have provided in this form is true and correct to the best of my knowledge. I acknowledge that knowingly providing false, misleading or incorrect information is an offence under the Public Health Act 2005 punishable by a fine of $4,004 or a court-imposed penalty of up to $13,345.
    • *I undertake to present for a COVID-19 test if I develop symptoms consistent with COVID-19 within 14 days of entering Queensland
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Four Victorians , one Qlder, one NSWelshman. BOOK EM, ANNA!

Police said the group had made an earlier attempt to enter Queensland on July 2 but were turned back.
The driver of the minivan was from Queensland and one of the passengers was from New South Wales.

Looks a little bigger, or maybe the same as the one that hangs out the side of the mixer in my pos.

    Ryco A31 for reference.................

Really primitive (1958) gas stuff from Impco that just keeps doing the job.

Just remember F-111's were that old and were truly awesome.

I wonder how long it will be before Qld adds Casula in NSW to the list of hotspots? Currently nowhere in NSW is on the list, which includes the whole of Victoria.
