It took a while to get to one million cases. Not that much longer before a Country got to a million. Now at 13 million report and assumed it is likely 10 times that unreported with Covid19 is a WOW number+++

There have been cases over here where peoples names and contact details as left at shops/cafes etc have been used by others seeing them to contact them. In one case a guy at a shop contacted a woman who left contact details. Dodgy bit of contact tracing if not collected and managed properly by the shop.
Got to watch out for the creeps out there Rick...

Unfortunately an 'own goal' probably isn't too far away.

Scoring points? I would like to just point out that a lot of noise came from your area when Qld shut the border. A lot of negative talk, directed at our Premier, political point scoring by the NSW Premier. Now that NSW is staring at more lock downs, all of a sudden things have changed. You can only score points when you are winning the game, and we won our game, only to be let down by those who just couldn't take it seriously. Our border has been opened at the constant request of the Federal Government, in order to get the economy going. We would have been better off keeping it shut , and just let Queenslanders travel and stimulate our economy , you want not a good look, look at Victoria and NSW. We up here know we could be on the cusp of what's happening in Victoria, we don't need reminding . In case you are in denial, here is the latest from Vic. Stage 4 lock down is likely, with more health workers in hospitals testing positive. Good luck.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

It won't be an own goal. It's unfortunate that it will almost be impossible to keep this out, But we will try. No thanks to our southern neighbours.

In view of the massive outbreaks in VIC I feel that it is an act of sheer lunacy for QLD to open shop up for tourism at this time .
Let me remind you of some facts.

The federal government is applying fresh pressure on states to restart interstate travel amid calls for more help to be directed to aviation.
“We need to get planes flying around Australia,” Mr Morrison told parliament.
“If you want to see planes flying around Australia, we need to open up these domestic borders.”
But Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk pushed back on Thursday, arguing her government was sticking by the road map released by the Federal Government – and that her priority is the health and safety of her state.
“There is no dissent on this … he [Scott Morrison] has said July, I have said July,” the Premier told reporters.

“I will always put the health of Queenslanders first and I make no apology for putting the health of Queenslanders first.”

Certain members need to take a deep breath, and face the facts.

We have had no reports of such a thing happening here. This contact tracing has worked better than Australia's tracing APP. Do you have the news reports of what you say?

Pubs would seem to have been pretty slack with taking ID's probably not a bad idea to restrict them again anyway. It looks like the pub outbreak may have been caused by a truck driver who would have been exempt from the border closures. Regards,

We are only too aware that this could happen in Qld., only non members are required to sign in at clubs, members have a membership card, and all that normally happens is the member shows the card and walks thru, normally. If there is a rewards scheme for members then they swipe the card, if the door desk is efficient. I see the Casino in Sydney [ STAR ? ] was fined $ 5000 for non compliance to coronavirus regs. .
