If you look at the population numbers and available infrastructure/personnel to deal with quarantine needs of returnee's that the different states have you will see that WA is pulling more weight per capita than either NSW or VIC and most Definitely much more than Canberra.

Not really - WA 2.6m population - ACT 450,000 and major international carriers do not come to Canberra where many enter Aust through Perth. Sydney is processing the majority of WA int arrivals - you lot need to do more.

Why can't Canberra organise a few flights to arrive there so that you mob can help out, Or is it much easier to do Nothing and point fingers elsewhere.?

Bag WA all you want But at leasr we are doing our fair share of repatriation of the Aussies from overseas AND doing more than our fair share of keeping the country afloat financially WTF has Canberra done to help.

Try researching - many repatriation flights have come come into Canberra even though Canberra is really just a regional airport - our quarantine hotels are nearly full.

The issue is the hypocrisy that comes out of WA - it is the only State to completely shut its borders to NSW where others are correctly targetting the NSW hotspots. Yes things may change. Sydney is taking the majority of WA international travellers and putting them up in Sydney Quarantine hotels not Perth hotels - ACT returnees go to Canberra Hotels not stay in Sydney.

So the ACT is taking its load as are most other States but as a entry international airport, Perth and WA should be taking more and not leaving to NSW to take this burden.

Oh and it is NSW and Vic that keep the country financially afloat not WA.

There have been a few flights back, it's a bit hard to find details but there was a Singapore Airlines flight earlier this year and I believe that there has been one from India as well. The limitation is the number of Hotel spots (just as in every other state). A consideration also is that "Canberra" in this instance is the ACT Government, rather than Federal so there isn't any magic that the feds can do that would make Canberra more attractive for arrivals than any other state.
