We should point out as soon as he got symptoms he got tested and isolated himself waiting for the test results. His movements in the days before he isolated himself have been determined, and contact tracing is under way. The headlines indicate he deliberately visited venues knowing he was infected, but that is not the case, to be fair.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

The worry is the man's case has been linked to the Doctor at the hospital, not long back. That means there may be a missing link in the community from the Drs. infection, to the young man.

The man had the UK strain of the virus and was active in the community for several days before developing symptoms and getting tested.

Queensland's Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young said the source of his infection remained unknown, but said an unidentified intermediary was probably the link between the first cluster and the new infection.

A bit of a worry, " it doesn't necessarily give you symptoms".

University of Queensland immunologist Dr Larisa Labzin said the new case showed there could be transmission within the community.
"We've had zero local cases, so we want to know where that's come from," she said.
"It's entirely possible that some people have caught it and they haven't known that they've had it, because it doesn't necessarily give you symptoms.
"That makes it a bit tricky for testing."

Major contact tracing effort continues across Brisbane as immunologist warns unknown source of COVID infection is 'definitely a concern' (msn.com)

Then she said something which I found strange. They can't make appointments because they don't know when the bottles of vaccine will be delivered , they are not being told in advance, and they only get 10 bottles at a time. So they have a list, on which names are marked in different highlight colours according to the priority level of the customer, [ 1B 70 + with health issues etc] And leave your phone no. and we'll ring you when your turn comes around. Upon questioning, the lass said they do not know the time frame between deliveries, so can not give any guarantees of how long it will take to work down the list. I believe each bottle has multiple jabs in it so that is something between 6 to 10 jabs / bottle. I'm hoping now that we are making the vaccine here , it may speed things up a bit. I know it is not the centres fault, if fault there is, and we have things fairly well under control. Thankfully.

Ok Ok, but if it all goes as efficiently as my yesterday's adventure, she'll be jake. As smooth as a Baby's bum in fact.

    What could possibly go wrong?

The administration of the vaccine is not the problem. That goes very smoothly. It's just they can't get enough of it . Oh well, just another bump in the road.

Now we hear one 22 year old hosted a party for 25, and did not self isolate, after getting tested. The test came back positive. A big wake up call for some in our community, complacency will bring us down.

Yeah, I read that this morning and let out a few expletives Corona Virus

I'll be surprised if whoever is in charge of these things don't fine him, at a minimum what a serious sense of entitlement.

There are those here who want to do more than fine him. All our efforts will be for nothing with fools like that in our community.

He'll only get a smack on the wrist, if that.
The three females who contracted the virus at an illegal party, during a thieving trip to Melbourne, then lied and connived to avoid quarantine, were sentenced during the week. They each got 60 or 80 hours community service! They cost the state tens, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars to avoid a major outbreak.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

What were they charged with? That would have a lot to do with the penalty.
