Yeah mate, I think we will get caught out eventually. Too much reliance on luck so far. Self-made luck is good but relying on dumb luck is poor management and in this situation has dire consequences should the wrong side of the coin face us. I see complacency in bad places and note urgency and "the abundance of caution" has been replaced with notions of the self assured much like a problem-gambler sure their bet is the right one.

Yes it could burst jacindas halo... spend money on the safety of the country(a kind of war planning as such)which will protect the economy if something bad happens .better on this than a bike lane in auckland, they are being warned by professionals but its hard to get people with no real world experience to take notice in the government.

Worse than bizarre, it looks like deliberate ultra-conservative hard-border secessionist strategy. Pathetic, small minded, globally isolationist arrogance.

Gotta love the Territory. When Darwin went into lockdown , only essential services were to remain open. The boss man up there said a meeting was had, and Alcohol sales were considered essential, so bottle shops would remain open. Darwin ,may you always be different.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

My other half was a bit alarmed to see a NSW plated car a few hours ago Fuel added to Disco and boat. The servo had a truck load of dunny rolls. I did for a minute think of buying it all and taking it to a charity at the boarder
