Our doctor has been off after an OP for last 5 weeks & with this latest out brake in Sydney we went to talk to one of the other doctors in the practice. She noticed that I had only had one of the four blood tests for the blood condition so sent me for other three tests. Couple of days later I received a phone call to tell me the first test had come back positive to a serious blood clotting issue so can't AZ . Because I am over 70 she is hopping to be able to get permission for me to have the Phizer in next couple of weeks.
I can't blame my doctor as all information they have been from Gov Factor 5 is not an issue , but lucky for me this lady doctor checked my records & noticed that only the one test had been done.
My wife is reluctantly going for her needle this morning & I will just have have mine in next couple of weeks.
Good to hear mate. Thanks for posting your story. A salutary caution for others to have the tests before committing to AZ.

No doubt, no BS, but it shouldn't be necessary. I still think it's a very premature last resort measure and is emblematic of the massive failures, rather than a show of logistical strength. In a public health crisis the leaders in the health sector should be in charge.

That would require them to have a coherent story that aligns somewhat

This little yarn paints a pretty dysfunctional picture of the health advice around vaccination

Yep those tanti's will be happening everywhere, as a result of political hand grenades being lobbed disregarding the ATAGI advice.

...I really hope no one under 60 dies from a blood clot.

Here is a WIKI explanation of the Vaccine roll out in Australia. Informative, it details all the major milestones/ targets in the vaccination program. On the 22nd March 2020, Health Minister Greg Hunt announced the start of the phase 1b vaccination rollout. The previous day, the Prime Minister Scott Morrison , CMO Paul Kelly, Chief Nurse Alison McMillan and a very small group of aged care staff & residents were vaccinated with the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

There's a one in a million chance that someone will but that is still comparable with the chance of dying from a clot from the contraceptive pill so we should all stop wringing our hands, judge the risk for ourselves and move on.

No evidence of positive sewage cases north of Sydney, no positive cases either, Qld will keep the border open for now. Zero community cases in Qld.
