The number of logistics experts in this country, including in the health sector, is huge. No need to bring a Lt General in other than optics.

Just a further example of the LNP's fetishisation of the military.

Removalists - exposure sites too late

Was on my way into work today on the tram and noticed that the removalist super spreaders had had Maccas and a shower at Ballan, so the petrol station is now a tier 1 site for the 8th - I went through there last week so I did a quick check to make sure that our paths hadn't crossed, which they hadn't.

The removalists aren't being cooperative with the contact tracers - what would they be hiding?? - so the authorities have been checking CCTV.

I'm guessing that it was via CCTV that the Kalkallo site was picked up, and they probably also stopped several times between Ballan and Bordertown so I'm expecting a contact site in Horsham - but it's almost a week old now which is a real concern.

Ooh possible army deployment! They must be taking ‘something’ seriously!

…all it says to me is that they’ve failed, Defence Force is the last resort.

Yep, I was there the same day too - but in the morning thankfully so we didn't cross paths either. I was there around 9am, revivalists late arvo. Hope the Maccas is back up and running again - I have another run to Ballarat tomorrow.

Yes, but I know a Military Logistics specialist personally and the sort of jobs he does - they would run rings around the private sector on how to actually get things done in a timely manner. No BS or crap, just 'Get the job done'

Wife & I were booked to have AZ injection this morning , I have been hanging off waiting for Phizer as I have blood clot issue ( Factor 5) which I had already spoken to our doctor about & he tried to assure me there was no concern & was up to me if I wanted to wait until September at earliest & I had decided to wait. Our doctor has been off after an OP for last 5 weeks & with this latest out brake in Sydney we went to talk to one of the other doctors in the practice. She noticed that I had only had one of the four blood tests for the blood condition so sent me for other three tests. Couple of days later I received a phone call to tell me the first test had come back positive to a serious blood clotting issue so can't AZ . Because I am over 70 she is hopping to be able to get permission for me to have the Phizer in next couple of weeks.
I can't blame my doctor as all information they have been from Gov Factor 5 is not an issue , but lucky for me this lady doctor checked my records & noticed that only the one test had been done.
My wife is reluctantly going for her needle this morning & I will just have have mine in next couple of weeks.
