The whole country in under National State of Emergency lock down. The only people on Rakiura would be those who live there and those travelers trapped by the lockdown but able to find a place to stay that meets the requirements.

I have no doubt it would be a nice place to be in lockdown if you were well set up.

You're familiar with the place given what you called it.

There aren't many people to play with down there, just bush, whitetail deer, sea water and fish.

Except the numbers show that reducing the availability reduces the incidence of both.
And all my mates that shoot have more than enough and AFAIK primary producers and pro shooters can still access ammo and reloading bits and pieces, maybe just not as easily.

Yes, crazy stuff. India and Pakistan have nearly pressed the button a couple of times. Not to mention there are questions over the security of their weapons, and the chance that one may fall into the wrong hands. When you look around the World, Israel has them, South Africa helped them test their weapon , and there are suspicions they may have one. Denied, of course.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Well, the TV news gave the % infection rate in Australia as 1.8%, with Qld 1.6%. Don't think I'll bother worrying about the stats . , I'll do my head in.
