SubscriberThe Chinderah one was at the northbound Ampol, so presumably they headed north into Qld. Trucks normally get waved thru border checks as an essential service.
Someone in the truck must have later tested positive to bring this truck to official attention. Where did they come from?
That's a popular Sydney- Brisbane overnight truck stop. Did they travel up from Sydney, rest overnight and then head into Qld to unload the next morning?
Imagine the Qld cops would be right onto that one now they know about it.
It will only take one positive case in Northern NSW for Qld to slam the border shut to regional NSW.

re: removalists, no work = no money
is it really that hard to comprehend why they did what they did?

Had a word with a couple of mates who have worked in removals, for a normal job 3 is the number, one boss & two musclemen. The Boss liases with the customer & carries the smaller stuff, the others do the heavy stuff. Normally cash in hand, musclemen are often Pacific Islanders, nothing's too heavy for them. Often a job for tourists to grab some extra holiday money. Any way here are Michelle Gratten's thoughts on the priviliged few who break covid quarantine.
