True. But not sudden death and no long term issues - generally. But really the stats of issues from AZ and Phizer are so low as not to be worth raising a sweat. Now the risk of getting Covid and having short and long term health problems is something to worry about. Cheers

It still hurts Huh? I must admit you Victorians copped some from every direction, back then. Never mind, it's a level playing field now, Delta will make us work together, no matter how reluctantly. Pride & hubris brings most undone sooner or later. But still provides strong protection but less protection against getting the covid virus. Not a problem if everyone actually gets the jabs. Cheers

Our CHO, DR Young , a champion in my eyes [ although she made a slip up I believe in insisting the AZ was only for under 60's. and Pfizer for the rest. She seems to have had a conversion on the road to Damascus, and now advocates AZ for all. but only after consultation with your GP] Has raised the possibility of coming out of lock down on Sunday. If that happens it would be the most unlikely outcome ever, and there will be a lot of nervous people around, but it would be uplifting. However looking at Vic back in lock down, I really hope they get it right.

Looking positive: Young raises hopes lockdown can still be lifted on Sunday (inqld.com.au)

Wearing a face mask so that the mouth is covered but the nose sticks out over the top is not only infuriatingly ineffective, it also now has an apt shorthand: dick-nose.”

It would be funny if it wasn’t real.

So on Friday last, a few low life's with covid decide to break lockdown in Western Sydney and travel to Blacksmiths Beach for a party - result Lake Macquarie, Greater Newcastle, the Hunter and Upper Hunter are going into 7 days lockdown - all because the stupidity of people breaking the rules. If people accidently break the changing rules - fine be lenient but where they deliberately break the rules heavier penalities need to be applied.

The school outbreak at Morriset High School is less sinister as it is on the border of the Central Coast and it is not clear yet whether a kid from Morriset visited their mates in the Central Coast or vice versa but it has spread to the school.

People just need to obey the health orders.

As far as my Mum goes, already living alone she cannot have visitors - grandson visits today but he will be gone by 5.00PM - no other visitors until late next week. Will her visit to the Doctor go ahead next week - don't know - same as her home care visit next week. Thankfully her home care shopping has already been done this week and should carry her over to next week.
A morons beach party. Armidale and Dubbo under the spotlight.

It really isn't. To paraphrase the old British "I'm British, I know how to queue!", "I'm Victorian, I know how to lockdown". When the rest of NSW learns to stay the **** at home and play by the rules, the playing field might level out. Right now the Victorians have the edge 5 times over and will continue to do so until the "Average New South Welshman starts to understand they aren't above the rules and they really do apply to them also".
