Governor General -- Covid thread. I'm going to add some nursery rhymes to Current Affairs now[biggrin][biggrin]
My few hours vaxing kids was missing some fun clearly [bigrolf]
Interesting observations over the last few days. Whole families with it. Family with people with it and several missed out. A number of OMG that was close hospital admissions from Covid and several recovered from not significant sickness who mentioned almost exhaustion after life as normal actions they now struggle to do. The range of Covid positive who did not know they had it till tested to others calling 000 for needed attention was impressive with such a low number of people I have chatted with.
the 50ish % of 5 to 12 who have a 1st dose is interesting as the other Half have not - I and others well likely toss some pediatric covid vaccines in the bin. We order to expectations and best advice was 80-90% of the kids would were clearly wrong here at least. The 2nd dose for the ones we start on are starting March 7- (March 10 for us) Most stock expire before then and I have to order today for the 2nd dose which is oddly frustrating despite it not being my money[bighmmm]
What is clear is lots of Covid will be passed around for a while yet which is usual just a PITA yet not always as it can be much worse.
Whats next is right under our noses I assume. Next
Just spent the week in Singleton, NSW. It seemed every second person I met has had Covid. One person told me a member of his family was in a coma for almost a month - and survived!
Most though said having Covid was no worse than the side effects I had from my third dose. Headache and feeling lethargic for 2-3 days.
For the estimated 20% of Australians with 2 or more chronic medical conditions it would still be a worrying time.
