You proved my exact point by posting that - relying on an article that cherry picks information to scare people into thinking something is an issue even if it's not.
If you look at the way that article is written, then it is clearly a piece click bait - if you look at the first paragraph and understand he words "They don't at the moment" and a bit further down "Is that likely to present a problem for Australians who have been vaccinated here with AstraZeneca when they travel around Europe? Probably not."
So it's just a puff piece designed to get clicks for its advertising. Have you even looked at the EMA's website to understand what their processes are? Probably not - that's my whole point - do some additional research and look at the sources being quoted to get a bigger picture.
Based on the headline people are probably running off telling their Neighbors that we won't be able to travel to Europe because of this - in fact we can't travel to Europe currently because we're a nation of mainly unvaccinated people with a huge uncontrolled outbreak at the moment. By the time we can travel, the AU produced variant will have been run through their approval process - there is currently no need to do that and if you read their website and understand how they have proritised the approvals, it's been based on when people will need and be able to travel there - Australia isn't in the picture for that yet, so it's further down the list is all.
So my point stands - don't rely on news articles and social media for your information - it leads to inaccurate conclusions a lot of the time.
