    I thought I'd check the source on this . . . .

NSW does have travel restrictions in place for QLD, VIC and ACT. If a person has been in a place of concern in any of these jurisdictions, they are not allowed to enter NSW unless they are a returning resident of NSW in which case they must quarantine at home for 14 days. For anyone else from these jurisdictions, they need to complete a travel declaration.

People from all other states and territories are free to come as they please. That means you can head over for a visit anytime you like trout, we will welcome you with open arms!

Most of Victoria is not in lock down.
Most of Victoria is free to travel around most of the state.
NSW has no entry restrictions, for you and I, you can enter NSW if you want to, it might be a long time before WA will let you back though.

No, only Melbourne and Ballarat are in lockdown, and only Melbourne has a curfew. Shepparton was in lockdown but has come out:

Like I said this kind of thing rankles because we had Fathers Day and a birthday this week and my son - who's living in residence and is just a couple of kms away - didn't come over for either because the regs don't contemplate it.
Like i said, they have done nothing wrong or illegal.

Lock down Melbourne - the way out

The path out is weeks to months more of lockdown. I suspect that compliance will be waning, and there's an evident indifference to the daily infection numbers, notwithstanding that people are still being tested in large numbers. People have worked out that the projected death numbers are for the unvaccinated and I suspect that there won't be much sympathy.

Normally the unvaccinated will be protected by the vaccinated but that won't be the case this time, since this virus is spreading widely, unlike, say the usual case with a disease like measles, and therefore it's likely that the unvaccinated will get infected this time.

observing what has been happening in the US republican states and in Britain, it is certain that the unvaccinated will be the ones paying the higher price

that said, you are 11 times less certain to die if vaccinated with AZ than not vaccinated

    pretty good odds considering

    then there is singapore, sigh

Singapore has experienced an increase in cases since moving from an aim of covid zero to relying on vaccinations.
    Singapore cases.JPG

They have also seen a small increase in deaths over the previous month or so but it is nowhere near the level of infections being reported

Unfortunately the choice is to remain covid free and turn off all interaction outside a given government area or accept that there are going to be some deaths from covid.

Not biased as they were patients and booked with the normal crew. Noting more than a few Ring ins padded out the numbers as well. Suspect they think we are a mad house with me chatting with kids I have missed for months now who have grown an enormous amount.

Next week Friday is a Public Holiday here in Vic for a Grand Final that is in Perth the Following week- Odd public holiday in Lock down

I have taken advantage of my free rooms and seats and got a Doc and Nurse jabbing away madly with the abuse of some poor sod who can choose not to pay himself making the few bits of copper per jab cover nurse cost and partly compensate the Legend who is also my Doctor .

One of the issues for me is the 15 minute post jab wait. Safe to have several per waiting area but not safe to pack them in with work as normal. Double down plus on our normal vaccines with a Thursday Friday and Saturday super session. Still trying to deal with the logistics for 3 weeks from them. I'll have a beer and think about it some more.

The accreditations people advise I MUST complete a Withdrawal Document to escape them? Suspect my lack of time/inability to do the Accreditation is hampering the Withdrawal Documentation they want/require.

Happy to measure my failure in that regard with our accelerating vaccination tally I think a few people in Canberra do not like my attitude at all. Play it by the rulz but my way works for me.

Good for you J1, stick it right up'em. Rulz rule, although maybe not in your case. I suppose it is fair to say that we don't always like Canberra's attitude at all sometimes either.
