What are the blaming statements being made? I may be a bit sheltered but all I'm hearing are statements about how NSW is going to open up when they have sufficient numbers of people fully vaccinated. Most of the other noise is from other premiers saying that they aren't going to open up and if that is the way it falls I'd imagine that borders will be closed for a very long time. The NSW premier is saying that there was an agreement in National Cabinet to begin opening up at 70% vaccination and if the other premiers change their minds then there's little to be done about it.
Like I said I might have missed her blaming other states because I haven't been listening to the news conferences but I haven't seen any quotes on here either.
Also its not like NSW has a choice.......

Its looking like international borders will open on a state by state basis once 80% of people over 16 have been vaccinated in each state so no one is going to force interstate borders to open other than the Australian public......

You obviously see different reports than the rest of us do - at the meeting of 27 Aug all Premiers reaffirmed the National Plan based on updated advice from the Doherty Institute, emphasising “caution” in lifting public health restrictions once 70% of the population over the age of 16 is vaccinated. - if they did not agree they should not have reaffirmed their support.

The National Plan looks flexible to me and still gives options based on the circumstances at the time but appears focused initially on easing (not removing) restrictions for vaccinated people.

National Cabinet 'fully agrees' on plan to start saying goodbye to COVID-19 lockdowns

Of course this is the viewpoint according to a politician at the meeting so best to treat with caution. Covid Mk ll

This is what was then officially published:

    https://www.pm.gov.au/sites/default/...n-060821_0.pdf

The wording is a bit different to the news briefing above and does not specifically mention state borders - just “domestic restrictions” being eased and then removed for vaccinated people.

Key points to note: in addition to the overall targets being achieved across Australia, each state still needs to achieve the targets within their own state before they would move into the next phase.

Also note the use of words like “measures may include” and “subject to change if required”. This is not written in stone.

I've watched closely and all I see is vaccination chat with an emphasis on the target of "70% of the total population" [their term] and the freedoms that will be gained by the vaccinated group by both Andrews and Morrison.

That means that 30% of the "total population" will be unvaccinated. It doesn't matter if being unvaccinated is a personal choice or due to other extenuating circumstance. Andrews and Morrison have both stated that this group will be unable to travel, unable to enter eating establishments, unable to go to formalised events aka football/tennis etc., unable to work and so forth. So what happens to them and 'them' number some 7 million people of the Australian total population of some 26 million,

If they are intent on it being mandatory to have a "Vaccination Passport" to gain access to all things how will those without one carry on normal living in society.

Our leaders are operating under a "State of Emergency" and using this to empower them to limit our freedoms. Now will this expire/be lifted at 70% vaccination levels? If so how do they enforce limiting unvaccinated peoples freedoms. Or will they continue extending their emergency powers.

There is another complication to throw into the mix here. Australia is signatory to a number of Human Rights platforms which binds them to how we are treated and what rights are inviolate and whilst these may be suspended under an Emergency Order they become valid again when the Emergency Order is lifted.

Now how our leaders intend to merging these Human Rights with limiting unvaccinated peoples access/movements is a mystery. To my knowledge they cannot put a specified section of the Total Population under an Emergency order.

Constitutional and Human Rights lawyers/advocates will have a field day with thse matters and it may take years to sort out. In the meantime a third of us will be seriously disadvantaged. Being unvaccinated may also be a ticket to mental problems/suicide/family violence etc. Complicating matters even further there will be both vaccinated and unvaccinated in the one family/living under the one roof.

That appears to have begun already here today, well it made the Ch.. 7 1800hrs news

The Winery, "Bird in the Hand" Woodside seems they won't serve Winery & Food services to you unless you have been vaxxed. Shame really, they make a lovely drop. No idea what source of OK they need, they didn't say.

Last week we could see this was on the cards generally, so have photo-copied the "Certificates" we were given at the times of our Vaxxes & keep those in the wallets.

I guess that it's worth pointing out that these aren't extra doses, they're just earlier doses - the Cth Govt have to give them back to the UK later this year.

Looks like we'd better stock up on the essentials before supply dries up.
