I'm sure witches and housewives use different models of broomsticks, but someone actually went to the trouble of rating the speeds of the broomsticks in the Harry Potter series...

Clenching of the scissor bone would be of utmost importance in not falling off at speed or at any other time really.

What speed do modern Broomsticks travel at these days, I have heard Mach 2 but shirley that can't be right?

    Can it?
I got in contact with "SHIRLEY" at the customer service centre. She would not quote exact figures as she said each broom stick has it's own individual characteristics. Speed would be affected by the driver's style and body mass and aerodynamics. When I heard this I was surprised that the wife's machine actually got air borne. As for side impact protection, well the Mrs would have ample naturally built in protection for impacts side or rear.

If that had been written in Greek it would have been attributed to Aristotle...

I am surprised it wasn't, Aristotle Onassis was a Greek Shipowner & also had one of those Super Yacht thingies so popular with Russian Crooks these days.

In his case though, it was an Ex Canadian built WW2 Navy Corvette named 'Christina O' & named after his daughter.

Hang about spud, WW2 wasn't that long ago. It was a Corvette not a Coracle.

Interesting thought though, a Multi deck Coracle with a Helo Landing Deck & space for 18 guests etc.

    EDIT.
    Btw.
The bar stools in Ari's Bar retain the original upholstery crafted from a very soft, fine leather made from the foreskins of whales.[31]
I wonder whether he used the Amphibie Katadromis to remove the foreskins? Seems like a job for the UK Special Boat Service or Royal Marines to me.
