Where've you been Ron, we've missed you. (I don't believe I really typed that)
I've just had new guttering installed on the house and garage (well, in late October).
Seven lengths in total.
Only one falls to the downpipe. Two have bellies so they fall to the centre. Two fall to the wrong end. One falls to both ends, and the other was so far under the roofing sheets, that the sheets touched the outer edge of the gutter (pictured).
To make it worse, when they fitted the pictured gutter, they hacked into my brand new carport/pergola beams to sit the gutters on them. This was after I'd carefully primed and painted the timber work (the previous timbers had rotted and this new timber work cost over $5K). Surely it was obvious to the installers that the way the gutter was installed wasn't right.
I was home on the day they gutters were fitted just in case they needed anything but I wasn't watching over the workmen. That was a mistake!
The gutters still haven't been completely fixed. There are still two to be done. Unfortunately, I paid on completion of the installation back in October.
If you want new guttering I can advise which company I wouldn't use!

why am i getting worried about anyone who gets a christmas present from ron?
I can't afford them. Actually, they may be cheaper than a Macquarie. The last time I looked they were about $130 (yes, I do have a Macquarie - and an Oxford and Readers Digest Dictionaries).
It annoys me that one has to buy a subscription to the on-line Macquarie - it should be free to all Australians. The on-line Oxford and Merriam-Webster are available free.
