Well, who else is there? I have 6 sisters, and 3 brothers. One sister I haven't seen or spoken to in over twenty years and two brothers I haven't seen or spoken to in at least as long (maybe longer). The others I may see once a year, if that. I can't pick one nephew/niece from any other and I don't even know the names of most of them.

Why would I waste money on them?

Mum's dead, and I haven't seen dad since my son's funeral nearly 2 years ago (although that's my fault, I don't visit him).

It annoys me that one has to buy a subscription to the on-line Macquarie - it should be free to all Australians. The on-line Oxford and Merriam-Webster are available free.
Recently bought an Australian Concise Oxford - price $62, although buying it from a liquidator's sale I got it for half that.

It is the wrong cable. There's $20 shipping wasted (plus the return costs).
After a week, the company still hasn't reponded to my emails nor my eBay message. Not happy, Jan!

    This is the cable:

I think you may be out of phase, walk under a ladder backwards, break some mirrors, chase a black cat (and get it to walk under the ladder with you)... go to a church (with the cat), wear some garlic, (hey whynot, get rid of some vampires too!)

Go to a tarot card reader and re arrange the deck!

Get a crystal ball and zap it with a cut crystal, at high noon on 13/04/07.

Have dinner at a Chinese restaurant (operated by Chinamen) and compliment the chef and the owner and the waitress.

I'm sure the others will be as equally helpful!

    GQ Good luck!
Crikey! That was two years ago. This Friday 13th, I have to see a surgeon about an operation to fix a torn tendon in my shoulder.

Thanks, Ian. It's a pain not being able to lift anything with my left arm and to not be able to finish the painting of the house.

It could be worse - I could have retired before this happened and left all that unused sick leave behind. Retirement has been deferred for a while.

It's only an arm, you can still bark instructions to Elizibeth, tell her painting is the latest form of craft. Are your knees ok, you can still duck?
