    OK, maybe the grey ones...

For the past week I've trying to sort out a problem with my air suspension.

I'd refurbished a spare valve block with new Orings and a diaphragm valve and then did a changeover with the original valve block. After the changeover, I encountered problems. The main problem was that the back would go up and down but the front would only go up - and up and up until the shocks topped out.

I've had the valve block and compressor in and out of the car so many times in the past week that I know it intimately. My wife suggested I buy a new valve block (at over $1500)!

I've changed the electronics, I've swapped solenoids, I've swapped valves, all to no avail.

Today I removed the new $80+ diaphragm valve and refitted the old valve.

That cured it. The new part is duff! Gaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!

Tonight I'll drive the car for the first time in over a week.

    Bugger!

My mobile needed to go in for repair today . The repair place gave me a loaner .

They gave me a phone that would suit the charger I have with us. It appeared to have a flat battery as it would start up but then turn off.

I got back to the hotel at which we are staying and put it on charge whilst we went out to meet a Two Wheels forum member.

When I got back, I tried the phone. It is faulty. It will not stay on. It isn't the battery. I swapped the battery from my wife's phone (same type) but the loaner still won't stay operational. Gahhhh!

Despite owning a mobile myself if someone took all of them away tomorrow I agree the world would be a far far better place.

    I would Dennis but:

    (a) it isn't mine, it's a loaner.

    (b) I get callouts on mine so the OT pays for it

    (c) I drive a Rangie so I need access to the NRMA at all times.
